Mystery Illness

If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram you may have noticed I've been quite poorly. Last Thursday I had a bit of a turn which ended up in me being carted away to A & E in an ambulance. In true me-fashion though it didn't go without it's fair share of awkward moments (the EMT's finding me in a heap on my bathroom tiles in just my Primark bunny knickers/the sticky things they put on you to monitor your heartbeat getting stuck to my unshaven, hairy legs etc).

After being hooked up to various different machines, blood tests, glucose tests and various others, the pain eventually passed and I was allowed home with a big question mark over what had actually happened. Unfortunately it wasn't as simple as just giving it time and I ended up back in the hospital on the Saturday, still in pain and looking for answers. I came away with some anti-sickness tablets and the promise of a heart scan to check up on my innocent (hopefully still) heart murmur, however none of the doctors suspected this was relevant and arranged this as a precaution just because they'd heard it when checking me over.

As much as I'm on the mend now I can't help but wonder a few things. This has happened once before, a couple of months ago but nowhere near as extreme as it was this time...so when is it going to happen again? And how severe will it be when it does? I know I shouldn't think like this but my mind isn't for playing along.

What are you mystery illness?! What's your beef?

  1. I hope you're doing okay beautiful and you find out what's going on soon. It's annoying, isn't it? You kinda expect every doctor to know instantly what's up with you, because duhh they're doctors.. :( xx

  3. I really hope they find out what's wrong, there is nothing worse than having mysterious illnesses lingering over you! It took years for us to find out my husband has severe IBS, brought on by his anxiety! They kept testing him for various allergies and other ailments which took time and money! I hope everything is okay and I really hope you start feeling better!!! XO -Kim
