My Go-To Beauty Product of the Year

December already huh? I've decided to write a post about, well, my go-to product of the year. If you are a returning reader you'll already know that when it comes to beauty, I like products that are quick and easy to apply and that I can trust to stay in place. If I buy something than ends up smudging or moving out of place I steer well clear of buying again because cba.

So, without further ado, let me hit you with the big reveal.

Maybelline Color Drama lip pencils. There are so many reasons why I love this product.
  • It's so easy to use! I can throw it on within seconds. Unlike other lip pencils I've used these glide on so smoothly and I don't have to spend time perfecting after I have applied.
  • It lasts. I can put it on before going for a meal and my lips are still filled after I've eaten. And believe me I can eat.
  • It's not drying at all. Don't get me wrong, I have been applying lip balm over these (see my review of Benefit's Posiebalm here) but before we got into the colder months I didn't feel the need to do this.
  • The colours are so pigmented  that my lips actually do go the colour of the product. They actually work on my pale-ass skin.

See? (Yes I really am that pale).

What's been your go to product of the year? I'm always down to hear about your faves as it gives me something to go on when I'm buying make up.

Next on my list is finding a foundation light enough. I've finally accepted that I was born to be pale so have pretty much cut out fake tanning apart from when I'm going on a night out. This does mean however that my beloved Double Wear is just too dark for my face, and no matter what member of staff tries to match me we can never seem to find one light enough. Any tips on this would be really helpful!

  2. I really really like these and have never actually seen them so I'm going to have to track these down! I love a good lip pencil/lip crayon as I also like using products that are quick and easy! My product of the year has to be my felt tip eyeliner in black, I'm loving how quick it is to do a cat eye! Great post! XO -Kim

    1. I would definitely recommend them! Hopefully you are able to track them down, they take up like no time at all to work with.

Eyeliner is something I definitely have to work on - my look used to always be a cat eye but I feel like my eyes have changed shape and now I really struggle with it. Maybe a felt tip liner would help me out, I should really try one. xx
