Life Lately

Long time no see. By that I mean it's been like a couple of weeks but it feels like much longer. Y'see, since the big return to work my mental health has taken a dip and I thought I'd better have a little breather. Kind of bittersweet as blogging it up is something I really enjoy but the lack of sleep in my life meant that I've barely had enough energy to wash my hair, never mind do something that gets the old brain ticking.

On a little bit of a tangent - fu hair. Why can't you just let me have one day without turning into a greasy mess?!

So yeah, this is a little bit of a catch up post. I'll share some pictures, have a wee blether and just try to remind you guys that I'm alive and kicking.

Sunset - Funset! If you don't get that Kenan & Kel reference then you're dead to me. Not really. All three of these pics were taken in my bedroom i.e. where I've been spending a lot of time recently, not sleeping but trying real hard.

I get the fear every time I take a picture of the sunset from my window that my neighbours are going to think I'm a massive creep/totally obsessed with them. Luckily I haven't had the police at the door just yet. I also re-arranged my dressing table, what a hoot. HOOT. OWLS. Sorry. Snow time for joking around...I promise, no more awful puns for the rest of this post.

I HAVE BECOME ADDICTED TO PLAYING THE KENDALL & KYLIE GAME. I've even ditched Kim's game. Look how cute my hair looks in it. As you can see, I suck at it and keep getting low scores for all my tasks because I forget I've started them and time runs out. I'm finding the game similar to having a tamagotchi but with less cute animals and more getting to buy clothes.

In Kim's game my name is Kristie so that I can fit in with all the K's, and in this one I'm Kameron (my boyfriend's surname is Cameron). Oh yes, I'm fully addicted/spending my adult time wisely.

Look at my wee cats keeping me company in my quest for sleep. Wee souls. I really don't have anything more to say about them, I just like to show people how cute they are. Look at babycat looking at me like I'm the coolest person ever. Look at grumpycat's smiley face. Just look at them. We have done nothing in this life to deserve animals they are just so pure and good and LOOK AT THE CAT PAWS.

IKEA. IT MAKES ME HAPPY. Accidentally spent £115 without checking my bank ah hahaha hahaha ahaha. Haha. Not funny. Such self sabotage. However look at these bad boys. Both going in my livingroom. I have two big lights so I'm going to put the rounder one above my couch and the pointier one above my coffee corner. Exciting!

Finally, I checked my page views yesterday curious to see the difference my lack of activity has made - thank you to everyone who popped by for a wee nosey whilst I was hiding away. Awkward virtual hugs to you all.

  1. I hope you're beginning to feel better! I know how difficult it can be to get to the other side sometimes. But it's nice that you've got some cute little companions to keep you company! And some nice new Ikea pieces ;) I'm patiently awaiting an Ikea near me so I can wander through, hehe!

  2. Okay, not going to lie, I fully had to click through to the 'blether' definition - (I LOVE IT!). Also, I bloody love Ikea. I get such an unnatural enjoyment out of going there - it's an incredible place! Also your cats are gorgeous - I just want to snuggle with them, despite the fact they'd probably scratch my face off!

    1. Haha after I'd typed this up I wanted to leave "blether" in so thought I'd better link to the meaning of it!! They wouldn't scratch your face off they are angels. :)

  3. I really hope you are doing a bit better now! Also, YOUR CATS ARE ADORABLE! How freaking cute, my heart can't handle it. And I am in love with IKEA too, so no worries. If I could, I would move out to live there. Seriously.

    1. Thank you lovely! Oh yup I'd happily live in IKEA, I can spend hours in there and still feel like I haven't had enough time to see everything, I totally don't get like that in any other store!

  4. I hope things get settled down for you. I've totally been neglecting my blogging as well so I know what you mean! I love your cats, at least that makes things a little brighter right? Also Ikea is freaking dangerous. Like I shouldn't even go in there because it's just a big money sucking hole. Happy to see you're still alive :D XO -Kim

  5. Aww I hope you start to feel better soon.

I love your pictures! Obsessed. I just want to cuddle with the kitties so bad!!

My hair used to get super greasy as well, and then I just decided enough was enough. I spent this past summer washing my hair every other day, no matter how gross my hair got. Sometimes I would just wet my hair in between to make it look less like I just got out of bed. It would get flat and just crazy.

After a while it just kind of figured itself out, and now I can go a few days without washing and it doesn't get nearly as greasy as it used to.

Also, finding a really good dry shampoo helps! (I use batiste)

    1. I think I might have *finally* found a dry shampoo that works for me! Tempted to try leaving it a few days at a time to try train it but I just hate going into work looking like I like ran there or something haha. :(
