Weekly Round Up #1

Weekly Round Up Lifestyle Blog
Happy Sunday! I've decided to start a weekly round up post which I  plan to write & post every Sunday as a way to make sure I'm checking in on here routinely, rather than my current *cough* erratic * cough* posting schedule.

The plan is to do a little round up of the highlights of my week, my blog posts and current faves. Hoping I can stick this out as I love reading all the weekly updates you guys do as they are just dead personal and chatty - my favourite kind of posts.

Highlights of my week

I finally got my new shelves up in my hallway. If you've been with me for a while you will have heard me yapping on about buying things to go on them but not actually having the shelves themselves. Well after making a trip to IKEA...I got em. I have a lil' post coming up to finally show you all. I really like them, boyfriend is not so sure (lol shame). I posted a pic of them on Instagram & my friend from work said they are very Kendall Jenner/Scandinavian so I am very pleased indeed.

I only had to work 2 days this week as it was my boyfriend's birthday so we booked some time off. We didn't have anything planned as he just wanted to take some time to chill out - fine by me! I'm having a hard time figuring out where I want to be career-wise because I'm a bit fed up of spending the majority of my life at work in a job that I don't really love so yeah, the time off was very well received. Also - my boyfriend turned 28. Holy moly. I swear we were just 19 like five minutes ago.

Moanymouse.com had a little makeover! I had been pretty happy plodding along as it was but then I logged into Bloglovin  on my laptop rather than my phone and realised just how similar my blog was to a lot of others. Not saying this is a bad thing but I wanted to get something a little different so nipped onto Etsy (any excuse) and found this layout. There's still some finishing touches to be done i.e. personalising it a bit, but I am liking the way it looks. (If you also like this layout you can click through the link at the bottom of the screen to find the Etsy store details),

An hour long phone call with my gran. I adore her. Grans are the coolest people ever, aren't they? She called to wish my boyfriend a happy birthday and one hour later I came off the phone with a sore face from laughing. She's my fave.

This week I've been...

Watching: Arrested Development (hello darkness my old friend) & Bad Parents. I'd seen Bad Parents before but this time around it got me thinking about getting older and how your idea of fun changes...as much as I don't want to admit to getting older, I really do love a good old night in.
Wearing: This New Look striped vest & blue jeans combo.
Pondering: Time! Where you going!??!! Why do I spend so much of you at work?!! Come back pls.
Drinking: Kopparberg Strawberry & Lime slushies. Mother may I. So good. I'm not a big drinker (as you can probably tell from my Fri/Sat night tweets - 2 glasses of prosecco and I'm seeing pink elephants Dumbo style) and usually I find cider quite heavy but I had one of these over the weekend and it was a lovely change from the norm. Also, a bit like a yoghurt. Yum.
Reading: Reasons To Stay Alive by Matt Haig. I wish I could force everyone that's ever told me "we all get sad/stay at home sometimes" to read this. He has described what it's like to live with depression in a way that I've never been able to articulate. So glad I read this.
Craving: A McDonald's Chicken Mayo. We've been talking about them all week at work and then my pal got one on Friday night and sent me a picture of it and I was green with jealous rage

Tada! First weekly round up - done! So now I have some questions for you gals.
Has anyone else read Reasons To Stay Alive? What did you think?
What are you watching on Netflix? I need some recommendations if you have any?!
And last but certainly not least, how many McDonald's Chicken Mayo's do you think you could eat in the one sitting? I said 3, my pal at work said 2. Yup, here I am, asking the burning questions, fighting the good fight. Let me know.
